The Colorcast. The last time I spoke with Rob, we talked bourbons. We were day-dreaming about oak barrels, as if we would better enjoy the music that he was broadcasting on The Colorcast. And then, a few days ago, Rob finally sent me the latest episode of his beautiful mixtape that Still in Rock has been broadcasting for over 2 years. Paradoxically, this 14th Colorcast has the taste of distilled corn, but it is also the most French of all, with a tune about Paris and a Gainsbourg song. Here is, in fact, more proof that music should be enjoyed with as much patience as a glass of Blantons, whether in Paris or in Kentucky.

The Colorcast. La dernière fois que je parlais avec Rob, nous nous entretenions de bourbons. Nous refaisions, un peu, le tour des fûts de chêne, comme pour mieux nous enivrer de la musique qu’il diffusait alors sur le Colorcast. Et puis, il y a quelques jours, Rob m’a fait parvenir le dernier épisode de sa belle mixtape que Still in Rock diffuse depuis plus de 2 ans déjà. Paradoxalement, si ce 14ème Colorcast a lui aussi le goût du maïs distillé, il est le plus français de tous, avec une chanson sur Paris et un titre de Gainsbourg. Preuve en est que la musique doit se déguster avec autant de patience qu’un verre de Blantons, à Paris comme au Kentucky, ce Colorcast se révèle à cette seule condition.
